General’s Cedar Pointe wooden pencil review
18 December 2014The General’s Cedar Pointe is a wooden hex pencil available, as far as I can tell, just as a No. 2/HB. They’re available for $6 for a dozen.
The natural finish looks and feels fantastic. Just one side is printed on, in simple black lettering. They are mercifully barcode free.
The black ferrule is looks great too and the black eraser completes the simple and tasteful design. The eraser works well and doesn’t wear too quickly.
What lifts this pencil above the crowd is the quality of its lead. It’s smooth, reasonably dark and it keeps its point for a very long time.
This is currently my favourite pencil for writing with. It’s excellent.
Great review! I love the Cedar Pointe. They smell great too. . . one of the most aromatic woodcased pencils I’ve encountered.
Thanks. Yes should have said about the wonderful smell!
