Faber-Castell 9000 pencil review
15 June 2014The Faber-Castell 9000 is a classic among pencils, having been made since 1905. It’s available in sixteen different grades from 8B to 6H.
The classic dark green hexagonal barrel is painted with water-based varnish and is well finished. It’s available with an eraser should you so wish.
The lead is smooth and this 2B grade was a pleasure to use. It isn’t the best pencil I’ve used but it is the best pencil I’ve found so far for this price. It’s very good value.
Here’s a sketch I did with it (as posted on Friday).
The Faber-Castell 9000 is an excellent pencil for the money and a good pencil at any price.
