This week’s Picture of the Week is this beautifully atmospheric view of one of Dorset’s most famous landmarks. There has been a harbour here in Lyme Regis for well over seven hundred years but the Cobb itself was built in 1824. It’s famous for its starring role in The French Lieutenant’s Woman.
I took the reference photo for this drawing on an exceptionally warm November’s day. There were a lot of people swimming in the sea. You can see the calm sea and the cliffs of the Jurassic Coast in the background.

The original is available to buy at a special price all this week. It’s a special picture that has been exhibited at Bridport Arts Centre. I also have prints and cards available.
