Lamy Copper Orange ink review

This is Lamy’s limited edition ink to go along with this year’s limited edition AL-Star. As far as I’ve been able to discover it’s only available in cartridges but I did think I saw someone mention getting a bottle of it, somewhere, so if you know if that’s possible please let me know. [EDIT: Daniel Lemay let me know on Twitter that bottles of this ink do in fact exist and can be bought from Anderson Pens and Goulet Pens. I’ve yet to find anywhere in the UK that stocks bottles – please let me know if you know of somewhere.]

Drawing an Inkling using a cartridge presents a few challenges as you can see at the start of the video. It also meant I couldn’t do all the bits I usually do.

It’s a well behaved ink and a nice enough colour but I don’t find it particularly special.

For some reason it looks as if it’s available in bottles in the US but not in the UK.

  1. Loved watching the video with this new color! We are currently sold out of Lamy CopperOrange bottles, but should be getting more in stock very soon!
