I was recently able to pop up to Bath to look at this year’s Bath Society of Artists’ Open Exhibition at the Victoria Art Gallery.

As always it’s a wonderful exhibition full of variety and a very high standard of work.

A wide shot of a brightly lit art gallery room with numerous colorful paintings on the walls, a central glass display case, and a few visitors observing the artwork.

It was a vibrant and colourful exhibition but, of course, I did appreciate the monochrome wall. Most of the work in this section were prints but I did spot a couple of drawings my fellow SGFA members.

A gallery wall displaying a collection of black and white framed prints and drawings of various sizes, with a wooden sculpture on a pedestal in the foreground.

My work (I had two pre-selected, one hung), Where There’s Light, is in the entrance hall just by the admission desk.

A close-up view of an art gallery wall featuring various framed artworks, including a prominent black and white illustration of cats in suits and a colorful poster for "Ballets Russes."

The exhibition is on until Saturday 7 November and admission is £9.
