Dorset Countryside

As Christmas is approaching and you are all thinking of the expensive pens you could buy yourselves, your loved ones or, ideally, me, it’s worth remembering that many fantastic pens and pencils can be found for not a lot of money. Top end pens are exclusive and, thereby, excluding, and whilst I do like some really rather pricy pens I do much prefer it when I find a bargain. It was the OHTO Graphic Liner that drew me into this hobby to begin with and it’s still, almost three years later, a pen I use almost every day. The Pilot Juice and Pilot Coleto are, likewise, pens I use frequently and love every time. It’s a shame that Pilot UK seem to be going out of their way to make them difficult to buy there.

Wooden pencils are a whole world in themselves, are dead cheap and are a constant source of joy.

This week’s picture is a watercolour I did one warm day this summer. I do actually live in a part of the world that is this pretty. How lucky am I?!
