Sketching my Gran

Sketching Gran

Here’s a sketch of my Gran, who is 99. This sketch is from her 97th birthday. When she was born, in Sheffield in 1914, Britain had just declared war on Germany; women didn’t have the vote; milk was delivered by horse and cart; no-one had a television and George V was king (and most people still thought kings and queens were a good idea). What a life she’s led.
