I’ve been thinking about putting together some series of drawings on particular themes. One series is going to be reeds and I’ve just started work on the second picture for that. Another series is, probably, going to be based around views of the sky and sea and the light that joins them both together. This series will be more impressionistic than my usual work.
This is the first, based on a photo I took on an early morning walk. The sky was full of clouds after a fierce overnight storm.
This is on A3 cartridge paper and drawn with a variety of graphite pencils and copious use of a blending stump, kitchen roll and an eraser.
