Noodler's Polar Brown Inkling

Noodler’s Polar Brown ink review

Noodler's Polar Brown ink review

This is a good earthy brown that dries quickly. However, it takes feathering to a whole new level. Any ink that can feather on Rhodia paper with an extra-fine nib is quite impressive.

Here I am doodling the Inkling.

Edit: Peninkcillin did a great review of this same ink and found very different properties. My bottle feathers and dries quickly; Peninkcillin’s didn’t feather at all and dried incredibly slowly. Very strange! Maybe the formula changed at some point.

  1. I thought I had received a defective sample when my polar brown feathered on everything! Glad it’s not just me, I’ve not sampled an ink that feathered so badly. Such a shame, I like the color.

  2. I was so surprised when I saw feathering on Rhodia paper! But fortunately I don’t like this colour, looks like watery mud 🙂 so it doesn’t bother me so much, I just didn’t expect something like that.
