SPONSOR: Spotlight Stationery

Spotlight Stationery April

Many thanks to Spotlight Stationery for once again sponsoring Pens! Paper! Pencils! this month. Spotlight Stationery are a UK-based company that will send you a subscription box every month (or every two months if you prefer). With every box they make a donation to National Star, a charity working with young people with disabilities and acquired brain injuries, and they also go out of their way to promote young illustrators by including a selection of postcards featuring their work.

April’s box was called “Reviving the Art of Correspondence”. I love these themed boxes. This one had the usual (but always really wonderful) illustrated postcards; an Original Crown Mill A5 writing pad; some Original Crown Mill A6 notecards with matching tissue lined envelopes; a Dex Compact Clear Ink Liner with a tin of 6 cartridges; and a LoneTree greetings card.

Original Crown Mill make wonderful letter-writing paper, great with fountain pens and very luxurious. The Dex Ink Liner is a fun little pen that takes standard cartridges and so opens up the world of fountain pen ink in, perhaps, a more accessible form.

Spotlight Stationery April in the box

This is good quality stuff and a little different from previous boxes. Spotlight Stationery are, I think, getting not only individual boxes right but getting the month-to-month variation right too.

If this has whetted your appetite then head over to now and use the special code PPP15 to get 15% off your first box. You can also buy this particular box for a limited time. (It’s April’s box.)

Oooh, Original Crown Mill is my favourite paper. Not sure I use enough to need a regular supply. Maybe I should ‘get out less’ and write more, and longer, letters…
