Pencil picture of Durdle Door

Durdle Door

6 March 2021 By ian

This week’s picture of the week is the world famous Durdle Door. This is a natural arch on the Purbeck section of the Jurassic Coast.

When I was a kid we would often be dragged here on a Sunday, in a futile effort by my parents to stop my brother and me falling out. It used to be fairly quiet back then (a long time ago) but these days it’s busy all year round, even when people shouldn’t be travelling. It really is an amazing place but (top travel tip) this part of the coast is all stunning and you don’t need to travel far from Durdle Door to experience the beauty without all the people.

Alternatively you can stay at home and buy this drawing (or a print!) at this week’s special price and appreciate this natural wonder without leaving your sofa.
