J. Herbin Vert Pre Ink Review

26 May 2015 By ian

J. Herbin Vert Pre (grass green) is an incredibly joyful and pretty ink. It’s quick to dry and, unusually for J. Herbin, very wet flowing. It’s got some lovely shading going on, too. Here I am doodling the Inkling. This is a beautiful ink.

Montblanc Royal Blue Ink Review

This is a good royal blue shade – a shade I don’t particular enjoy myself but there are so many versions people must like it. It’s fairly slow to dry but not disastrously so. Here I am doodling the Inkling. Thank you Chris Stafford for sending me this sample!

Diamine Onyx Black Ink Review

Diamine Onyx Black is a good dark black ink. It’s the darkest of Diamine’s blacks and is quite a neutral colour, just as a real black should be. It’s a good wet ink but quite slow to dry. There’s some interesting sheen when the ink pools but that isn’t noticeable under normal usage.
