Tracey Emin exhibition at White Cube

I recently visited the Tracey Emin exhibition, “I Followed You to the End”, at White Cube in Bermondsey. It was extremely good and if you can get there before it finishes on 10 November I highly recommend you do so.

I found the work quite overwhelming, emotionally. It’s directly connected to Tracey Emin’s soul and it’s impossible to look at the paintings without sensing some of the pain, heartache, occasional joy, that she’s expressing. The power of art is just incredible.

I’ve heard Tracey Emin say on podcasts that art is an expression of who you are and I saw that demonstrated fully in this exhibition. (Decide for yourselves what my grey, precise and carefully considered drawings say about my personality.)
