Esmie Paperback Notebook Review

Esmie is a UK company making a range of beautiful looking pocket-ish sized notebooks.

This notebook was sent to me by Nero’s Notes for the purposes of this review. These are my own thoughts, having used it for a couple of weeks.

Size: 10cm by 14cm
Price: £5 each
Pages: 28
Cover: screen printed card
Paper: 120gsm
Ruling: blank
Binding: stitched

This notebook looks gorgeous. The stiff card cover is silk screen printed by hand. There’s a good range of other covers, all of which look beautiful. The gold lines on this one shimmer and catch the light in all kinds of interesting ways.

The notebook’s hand stitched and assembled in England.

There are 28 pages of 120gsm paper. That’s not a lot of pages. The paper itself is plain and slightly textured.

It’s quite absorbent. There’s no show-through and no bleeding or feathering.

However it does suck up the ink which means some drier pens will struggle.

This isn’t a cheap notebook but it looks beautiful and is handmade to a high standard.

Pros

Handmade
Lovely looking covers
Thick paper

Cons

Some drier pens struggle
Not a lot of pages
