This is the beautiful (and he knows it) Yannis as a young and very spiky kitten. These days he mostly sleeps until he’s hungry, when he turns into some kind of crazed monster until he’s fed. Then he goes back to sleep again.
There’s something deeply satisfying about sketching in charcoal. It’s quick and you feel so very connected to what you’re doing, using your fingers to smudge and getting the dust all over them.
This is Mac, one of the most beautiful dogs in the world. He lives here, in Italy, and has a pretty good life chasing the local wildlife and dozing in the sun. I drew this as part of my Portray Your Pet project, using Tombow Mono 100 and Mitsu-bishi Hi-Uni pencils on Daler Rowney 160gsm […]
